Destination Engagement Session

If you’ve been to our wedding photography studio in Manchester, CT then you’ve probably seen our destination wedding photos. We’ve traveled to Colorado, Florida, Lake Tahoe, Italy, Punta Cana, Arizona, Maryland, Maine, Cancun (TWICE!), Greece, Pennsylvania, Italy, and most recently Southern California for engagement photos. I grew up traveling and find myself planning new trips before I’ve even gotten home from the ones I’m on. It’s like soul food – meeting new people, trying new foods, exploring…

Traveling anywhere fun? Let’s schedule your engagement session while you’re away!

Here’s how it works – you pick the location (or we can coordinate during travel that is already on our Destination Wedding Photographers schedule for 2020-2021. We communicate back and forth to plan travel and then plan an extra day or two so that there’s always a plan for bad weather. Destination weddings include a complimentary walkthrough of the venue property and photo locations with you and/or your planner, as well as extra perks such as coverage of your rehearsal dinner and/or day-after brunch. I’m itching to cover something like a group sailing trip on a catamaran or a day where you and some of your guests try zip-lining together! By padding in our trip with extra days, we add flexibility for coverage on more than just your wedding so that it’s truly a host of memories from your experience, which never comes as part of the resort packages.

This Southern California engagement session was photographed in Long Beach, CA for Abby & Aaron. I was able to scout beforehand, thanks to a wonderful friend who I stayed with during my trip. She suggested a couple of pretty spots and we checked them out prior to the engagement session so I had a general timeline and vision in mind. I initially met with Abby in Connecticut, where she hired Simply K Studios to photograph her Mystic Aquarium wedding. When Abby & Aaron moved out to Los Angeles, we coordinated timing and I was able to meet them and their rescue dog, Lady for a session near where they live! Can I just photograph all of our winter sessions in sunny CA?! For realllllll…
