ALL YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
We’re a bit documentary, mostly timeless. What does that mean? Think of documentary photography as taking photos from across the room as moments happen, versus posing people to create moments. We’ll help manage and pose all of your group shots as well as a few key moments throughout the day for lighting and to make you look your best, but mostly we want you to enjoy your wedding day and not feel like it was just an extended photo session.
Yes, engagement sessions are offered during weekday evenings unless you are planning to have a destination session. You are not obligated to add an engagement session to your wedding package, but it is a wonderful way for us to meet and connect with each other! There is no better way for us to learn your style and for you to see yourself in our photos before your wedding day.
This is SUCH an important question. Here’s what we suggest: 2 hours for getting ready coverage (details, candids, getting ready), 1 hour for first look, family, and wedding party photos, 1 hour for photos of just the two of you together (this may be spread between two locations if your first look or ceremony are in a different location than your cocktail hour/reception). We follow your timeline for the day, but those are estimates for time that may be prior to your ceremony.
This is always up to you and how you envision your wedding day! From a photography standpoint, a first look opens up your timeline so that you can take photos with the entire wedding party and immediate family beforehand. This allows your family and friends to attend cocktail hour, as well. If you are not planning for a first look, that is okay, too! In this case, we recommend that you request your cocktail hour be extended to 1.5 hours to allow for group and couple photos.
We cover your wedding day together to capture the day with two photographers, mainly through capturing moments themselves (documentary style). We often work alongside videographer teams, as well. Please reach out if you are looking for videographer recommendations for your wedding day, as we do not provide videography coverage.
