If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels effortlessly elegant with waterfront views, fresh seafood, sunlit ballrooms, and the kind of classic New England charm that never goes out of style… then keep reading!
Today, I’m taking you inside one of Boston’s most iconic wedding venues through the lens of Kristin and Jim’s beautiful Boston Harbor Hotel wedding…and honestly, by the end of this, you might just have your venue locked in!

The Venue: Boston Harbor Hotel
Situated right on the water at Rowes Wharf, Boston Harbor Hotel is a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond property, and it shows in every single detail. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with sweeping views of the harbor, an iconic arched rotunda, and an atmosphere that just feels…special. It’s the kind of place that does the heavy lifting for you aesthetically, which, as a photographer, I absolutely love.
For Kristin and Jim, Boston locals, the venue choice was easy! But even if you’re not a Bostonian, the venue is well set up for out-of-town guests with rooms and suites available right on-site, so everyone gets to stay and enjoy your wedding comfortably.
Boston Harbor Hotel weddings can accommodate up to 250 guests. For custom pricing and the most updated information, please reach out to the venue directly!

Boston Harbor Hotel Wedding Ceremony & Reception Spaces
Boston Harbor Hotel offers a variety of spaces for every kind of couple and guest count.
The Wharf Room is the grand ballroom of the property with 19-foot ceilings, glittering chandeliers, and three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows with harbor views. It accommodates up to 250 guests. This is where Kristin and Jim celebrated, and it was stunning — all that natural light flooding in from the water is a photographer’s dream.
The Atlantic Room, on the second floor at 5,509 square feet, features light ivory accents and dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the marina. It fits up to 150 guests and brings classic Boston charm to any celebration.
The Meritage Room is also on the second floor with harbor views through bold, picturesque windows that fill the room with natural light — great for up to 100 guests.
Foster’s Pavilion is enclosed by panoramic windows and offers 360-degree views of both the city skyline and the waterfront — a stunning option for ceremonies or cocktail receptions, also up to 100 guests.

The Food Experience
Can we talk about the cocktail hour for a second? Fresh oysters on ice, shrimp cocktail, the works… the culinary experience at Boston Harbor Hotel is genuinely top-notch. Executive Chef David Daniels brings bold flavors and vibrant colors to every dish, working with the freshest ingredients Boston has to offer. Your guests will be talking about the food for years to come, I promise!

Boston Harbor Hotel Outdoor Wedding Photo Locations
This is one of my favorite things about photographing here… you don’t have to go far to get stunning photos. The harbor is right there, and there are beautiful brick walkways and garden areas that give you so many different looks — all within a short walk. For a city venue, the variety is honestly impressive.

Kristin & Jim’s Boston Harbor Hotel Wedding Day
Kristin and Jim are Boston locals through and through, so it made sense for them to choose Boston Harbor Hotel for their day. There’s something really lovely about getting married in the city you call home, surrounded by the skyline you see every day…but somehow seeing it all in a completely new light.
Their day started with getting ready and their first look at the harbor. The ceremony took place inside the hotel’s stunning event space, with the harbor glittering through the floor-to-ceiling windows behind them.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delicious cocktail hour with oysters, champagne, harbor breezes, and good company. Meanwhile, Kristin and Jim snuck away for portraits around the property, stealing a quiet moment by the water with sailboats in the background, sharing a laugh in the dappled light of the gardens nearby… it all came together so effortlessly.
The reception in the Wharf Room was everything — crisp white linens, simple and classic floral arrangements, and those gorgeous harbor views as the backdrop. Kristin and Jim took a moment at the mic to welcome their guests, and the joy on their faces said everything. The night was full of laughter, toasts, and dancing… exactly what a wedding should be.
