The Venue: Branford House at Avery Point

Located on the shoreline of the University of Connecticut’s Avery Point campus, the Branford House is a dream venue for couples seeking a timeless and elegant wedding setting. This historic mansion boasts stunning Gothic architecture – think intricate stonework, big dramatic windows, and ocean views that are straight out of a postcard.

I absolutely love their expansive great lawn. Here, you can have your ceremony with the water in the background (hello, romantic vibes), and it has plenty of space for guests. The inside is equally stunning and elegant. There’s wood-paneled walls, fancy fireplaces, and classic chandeliers… If you’re looking for a venue that’s equal parts grand and intimate, this is it.

Alli & Kevin’s Branford House Wedding Day

From the moment Alli and Kevin started getting ready, you could just feel how much love and excitement was in the air. Alli’s bridal details—her classic white heels, delicate jewelry, and those beautifully designed invitations—were just chef’s kiss and totally fit the vibe of the day. She got ready with her bridesmaids, who wore the prettiest soft blue dresses, and the whole morning was filled with laughs and happy tears.

Then it was time for the first look. The look on Kevin’s face when he saw Alli for the first time was unforgettable—a mix of awe, love, and pure happiness. They also exchanged private vows before the ceremony, which made everything feel even more personal and special.

Their ceremony took place on the Branford House’s sprawling lawn, with the ocean as their backdrop. The arch was decorated with white flowers and greenery and complemented the setting beautifully. It was intimate and serene and just… everything you’d want your wedding ceremony to be.

Reception and Celebration

The reception inside the Branford House was a celebration to remember. Tables were adorned with elegant floral centerpieces and soft blue accents, tying together the day’s cohesive and sophisticated design. The grand hall was absolutely alive with laughter, music, and so much love. Guests danced the night away in the mansion’s grand hall, and it really was a night to remember!
